I can remember my first experience of yoga in 2002, which came from trying to follow a DVD featuring Rodney Yee. I tried to imitate Yee’s perfect postures and serene composure but all my muscles tingled, my breath was choppy and irregular and at the end, I was in tears. Yet I was also euphoric and somehow transformed. I knew I had discovered something very powerful and I was eager to learn more.
I attended several trainings and began teaching in 2005. Having been a fitness instructor in the 90s at first I was attracted to intense physical practices such as Ashtanga and Power yoga. Over time my approach softened as I learned about the value of meditation and deep relaxation. My teaching now is a unique blend of all that I have learned from different sources over the years. I feel that there is no end to learning and I keep studying and exploring as much as I can in order to be of service to my students.
My other passion is hiking – you will often see me out in the area with my two rescue dogs. I’m also a fan of the Swiss explorer Sarah Marquis.
I look forward to welcoming you to my class
