Aside from the physical benefits, yoga teaches teens techniques for coping with the unique issues they’re faced with everyday—insecurity about their changing bodies, the enormous pressure to fit in, stressful school schedules, and uncertainty about their beliefs and their futures.
This safe space gives them the chance to also express their feelings and thoughts verbally after a stressful day at school. Teens who start yoga will often continue into their adulthood and continually benefit from it.
Our Hatha Yoga classes use asana (postures) with the breath to create a link between the body and the mind.
Our warm yoga classes are inspired by both the Barkan and Absolute Hot yoga sequences. We encourage new students to take it easy in their first few classes and for best results practice as much as your schedule permits during the introduction period.
You can begin yoga at any age! In this class, designed for people aged 60 and over, we explore simple postures with the focus on correct alignment, breathing exercises, deep relaxation, and meditation.
