I really enjoy lots of sports and have a background in Judo, Rugby, Rowing and Skiing.
I came to a Jivamukti yoga class following a skiing accident to my knee in early 2004 as part of my rehabilitation and was amazed to find that after a few weeks the practice gave me much much more then simply mobility, flexibility and strength of limbs.
The focused practise on moving in tune with the breath brought me to a space where I could start to move in a relaxed but totally aware state feeling more in tune with myself then ever before and the benefits crossed over into all areas of my life.
It wasn’t just simply a case of improving sporting ability and performance but more importantly feeling better able to deal with the everyday stresses of our current fast paced technology driven lifestyles in the office and at home.
I’m an 800hr certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher and Yogabody Trapeze Yoga Teacher with a great interest in Yoga and Buddhist philosophy.
My classes are inspired by the Jivamukti Yoga method with a focus on breathing as well as the mindfulness teachings of Thich Naht Hanh (Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk). They are fun and focused but always tailored around the student’s abilities in class. I look forward to practicing with you.
