This event is for anyone interested in learning more about Max’s special program as well as for yoga teachers who want to learn more about how they can adopt the principles into their own work. All are welcome, including beginners.
Max Strom’s Inner Axis Yoga is creating a lot of excitement in the world of well being and yoga because it serves so many populations including people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and sleep dysfunction. Because of this, Max is bringing this work more into the medical community as well as the corporate communities.
The capacity for transformation is present in each of us. In this intensive workshop you will learn how to guide ordinary people to experience extraordinary healing and transformation from a universal platform, meaning it is inclusive as opposed to exclusively young athletes. Whether or not the student has a stiff body or a rigid schedule, this intensive will offer an approach to yoga postures, breathing, meditation, and ethical living that will help others to access healing and transformation within their practice.
This daylong workshop will be a day of exploring the essential elements of practice that Max Strom is so highly regarded for. The morning will consist of a lecture on essential terms followed by a full practice of breath-initiated movement and yoga postures and movement patterns. This workshop deals directly with the modern epidemic of stress in industrial societies across the world. A great many of us are plagued with anxiety and depression because we are actually living in a quiet state of crisis. But the opportunity of a crisis is that we have a clarity that is unparalleled to any other time in our life. What is important, and not so important becomes almost blindingly clear, so, there is no better time to rebuild your vision of your life. This workshop is designed for teachers who will learn the keys to introducing this affective methodology within the context of a yoga and/or breathing class, or private coaching sessions. The workshop includes lecture, self-inquiry, some gentle breath-work, and writing. Because the amount of people currently in crisis is at an all-time high in recent history, everyone is welcome to take this workshop. Have writing material on-hand.
It is said that the human being has a powerful guiding voice within; it is the voice of our intuition and wisdom. But this voice is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind. The noise is often caused from chaotic or congested emotions from stress, depression, PTSD, or anxiety. In this workshop we will begin with a talk by Max, then move into a gentle breath-initiated movement sequence. In the second half of the workshop will focus on floor postures and breath-work to release the mind and body from long-held emotions that impede our happiness and our ability to sleep well.
